About This Trail
This is the trail I hike when I need to remember why I do this job. No summit photo. No bragging rights. Just a loop through a forest that logging companies missed in the 1920s. Trees with trunks wider than your wingspan. Moss that has been growing uninterrupted for decades.
The trail is flat. The challenge is mental — can you walk slowly enough to actually see what's around you? Most people power through in 45 minutes and miss the nurse log garden at kilometer 2.7.
Rainy days are the best time to hike this trail. The moss glows. The creek sounds louder. Bring a rain jacket and take your time.
What to Bring
- Trail shoes
- 0.5L water

Your Guide
“I bring first-time hikers here to teach them how to look. Most people have forgotten how to walk slowly. This trail fixes that.”
