About This Trail
Granite Creek is our 'show people what hiking actually feels like' trail. It's not a nature walk on a paved path. It's a real trail with roots and rocks and a creek that you cross three times. But it's only 280 meters of elevation gain, spread across 5 kilometers, which means your legs will feel it but your lungs won't hate you.
The waterfall is at kilometer 3.2. It's not signed. There's a faint spur to the left where the creek makes a hard bend. Follow it 40 meters. Most people miss it because they're looking at their phone. Don't be most people.
This trail is runnable in the dry season. In spring the creek can be knee-deep after snowmelt. Check conditions before you go.

Your Guide
“The unmarked waterfall spur is the reason I became a guide. Found it on my third solo hike here. Still my favorite spot to sit for ten minutes.”
